5:4 Then there were those who said, “We have borrowed money to pay our taxes to the king ¹  on our fields and our vineyards.

[9:16]  ² tn Heb “and our fathers.” The vav is explicative.

[9:16]  ³ tn Heb “they stiffened their neck” (so also in the following verse).

[13:29]  ⁴ tc One medieval Hebrew MS, the Lucianic Greek recension, and the Syriac Peshitta read the plural הַכֹּהֲנִים (hakkohanim, “the priests”) rather than the singular reading of the MT, הַכְּהֻנָּה (hakkÿhunnah, “the priesthood”).
